10 ways to Get Rid of Stretch Marks During or After Pregnancy

3. Massaging body with aroma oil during your pregnancy reduces your chances many fold of getting stretch marks during pregnancy.

4. Aloe vera is also known to diminish stretch marks. All you have to do is to take aloe Vera gel ,cod liver oil and if you don’t have cod liver oil then take vitamin E oil and apply on the stretched mark area. This is considered to be a quite a speedy process in healing stretch marks.

5. Rubbing Vaseline intensive care cream on stomach twice a day during pregnancy prevents from stretch marks.

6. Apply generous amount of castor oil on the affected area and rap it with a plastic bag and place a hot water bottle on it. Do it for half an hour and wash it off. This helps in treating stretch marks .Many parlors also gives sitting of this in exorbitant amount.

7.You can make a lotion for stretch marks and apply it daily. Mix ½ cup extra virgin oil and1/4th cup aloe vera gel and add the liquid of 6 Vitamin E capsules and 3-4 Vitamin A capsules.(These capsules are easily available in any chemist shop).Blend all the ingredients and store the mixture in a bottle and put it in the refrigerator. Apply daily on the stretch marks area .Don’t forget to shake the bottle well before you apply the lotion.

8. Eggs are a rich source of protein and apply egg white on your skin greatly effects in helping stretch marks.

9.Cocoa butter is a very famous remedy for stretch marks. You can make a 100 dollar stretch marks cream with it at home. Just mix 1/2cup cocoa butter ,1 tbsp vitamin E oil,2 tsp grated bees wax .Heat the mixture till the wax get melted .Store and refrigerate the mixture. You can add wheat germ oil and apricot kernel oil into the mixture or speedy recovery. Apply this cream every day on the affected area.

10.Shea butter has become one of the most popular beauty product. It has high source o vitamin E and Vitamin A which makes skin healthy. Rubbing them twice a day helps in stretch marks.

All the above remedies are inexpensive and can be made easily at home. You have to be patient in trying these remedies. For instance cocoa butter works for some and olive oil doesn’t.So keep on trying . It is best to do something rather than completing ignoring it.

The country's First Lady has reportedly been in Germany for some weeks now where she was reported to have been in a German hospital for treatment. Her absence has generated alot of controversy. Report reaching us by her aid when she first left the country was the she was on a vacation.

Later, reports claimed that Governors wifes in all the states in Nigeria paid her a visit in Germany in company of the Vice President's wife. Another report also claimed that the President also secretly visited the first lady before attending a UN function some weeks ago.

Stop the bloodshed!!! Not everyone in Aluu killed Ugonna, Lloyd, Tekena & Chidiaka – Stephanie Okereke-Linus

Nollywood actress – Stephanie Okereke-Linus has also openly condemned the killing of four undergraduate students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) by indigenes of Aluu community. Read her statement below;

I have been in shock since the news broke about the four young students slaughtered like chickens in a community called Aluu.

At what point did we lose compassion for our fellow human beings? Death is assured for every life eventually, but no one deserves to die like those young men died – no one! Death dishonoured them. Even in justice there should be civility and modesty. That is why we are humans, and not beasts grovelling in the jungle. That is why we are made in God’s likeness so that we can be like Him – kind, merciful and fair.

Ugonna, Lloyd, Tekana, Chidiaka were young men with dreams and aspirations; Lloyd was already on his way to becoming a rap artiste; who knows what else these men had dreamed up for their future? But with many swipes from heavy metals and planks their dreams were slayed. It is the most gruesome act I have ever seen and I am afraid how this action reveals the true state and sentiments of many Nigerians.

Why do we permit jungle justice? Do we feel helpless with the system thus take justice into our own hands? What are our fears? What would ever justify the actions of a community that stole the lives of students who lived amongst them – lives that only God can give?

We may never know the truth of what really led to the killings at Aluu – that truth died with the four of them. All we can ask is for justice.That is the only way the tears of the mothers of these young lives may dry. It is the only way we all can feel safe because no matter the situation, lives should not be snatched so brutally. This is a society with laws.

As we seek for what is right, let death not procure more deaths. We do not need to burn down Aluu community. We do not need to shed more blood. Not every child, mother and father in the community killed or endorsed the killing of the young men. They too deserve to be protected from the brutality that has ensued from all of this.

Life is a beautiful thing; do not steal another’s opportunity to experience it.

May their deaths not be in vain.

Nigerian Idol Drops Charly Boy For Femi Kuti As Judge?

News reach Nollyjist today that, the organisers of popular  music talent hunt show in Nigeria make a new turn as they, Nigerian Idol  unveiled son of Afro beat legend, Fela Kuti, Femi, as a judge on the TV show.

Femi was unveiled Sunday, October 14, 2012. The organisers further explain that the reason of bring in the son of the Afro beat legend, is to bring new species into the talent show competition. This is what they have to say:
"We keep bringing in new twists and turns to make the show more interesting, two brand new cities made the audition train and most exciting is our own living legend, three-time Grammy nominee and Afrobeat king Femi Kuti as one of our judges,"

Soundcity's Juliet's Marriage Canceled Over Money

 
There is always two sides to a story.

For what led to the crash of the former Soundcity TV presenter, Juliet, no one can really say but the characters involved in the game of love.

This is kind of an eye opener for many Nigerian ladies who fall in love with a guy because they believe he's loaded with cash and within a few weeks they are already talking about marriage.

According to the story, the model, Juliet met Chima Ojukwu, a US-based guy in September 2011 and within a week they were already engaged. Less than a month into the relationship they had their introduction. Chima followed it with a traditional marriage the next month and they planned their white wedding in the US but that never held, the reason, we gathered, is money palaver and the wedding was unceremoniously called off and the love birds parted ways.

Juliet who has since changed her facebook status from married to single said in an interview, "we parted ways over irreconcilable differences. We were incompatible. At a point, being in the marriage became life threatening. If I was still in it, my enemy may have been dead by now, all in the name of trying to make it work and to avoid what people will say.

"I had to cancel the wedding in America because here in Nigeria where my family and his family are, there were verbal and domestic abuse. Going to a foreign land where I knew no one would have been worse. So, there was no need for the American wedding since it was already failing in Nigeria."

However, those who claim to be aware of what went down behind the scene, said Juliet is a cheap liar. Friends of the guy, Chima, said she pulled out of the wedding because of money.

According to them, Juliet apparently went into the relationship in a hurry believing that Chima has a lot of money since he's based in the US. when they became very close lovers, she got to know more about his true financial state and thought the guy can't do a lot for her. She cancelled the wedding, citing "irreconcilable difference".

Juliet has however denied the allegations, saying love is important to her than money.

TRAGEDY: Jim Iyke's Jamaican Girlfriend, Keturah 2 Brothers Killed By Police Bullets, Denies Giving Birth

 
 Nollywood Actor Jim Iyke is in a sobber moment with his jamaican girlfriend, keturah Hamilton whose brothers were recently short dead by the police in jamaica. Keturah who is a model told the jamaican publication that the police, the police who are to protect the innocent citizen, have allegedly killed his brothers.

 "I am aghast at the institutionalized killing of innocent civilians that seems to define the Jamaican police force – the wanton destruction of innocent lives under the guise of trying to prevent crimes. How can you prevent crime when you are actively committing the same crime against people who should ordinarily depend on you for your safety," Keturah queried. 

The model said , she felt bad that she has to lose her brothers; Sheldon and Nicholas McKenzie in the most brutal manner.
 According to her on how they were allegedly killed by the police, Keturah stated that, "the police claimed they heard a gunshot in the house where my brothers were, and without attempting to investigate, they barged in, confronted my brothers and without rhyme or reason, shot them dead and in order to conceal their identity, took off their badges and ran away after they realized the gravity of what they had done.

"The very system that is supposed to protect my brothers failed them. The police are deliberately slowing down investigations into the killing of my brothers, the affected officers have not been detained, and they were only placed on administrative assignment."
 
Reacting to the news that she has given birth to a baby, the Jim Iyke's sweetheart said, "I was not pregnant; neither did I give birth to a baby. My very good friend had given birth to a baby, and I was thoroughly excited.

"I felt the birth of the child was therapeutic – considering what I had gone through lately. My friend and I are like Siamese twins. I was actually supposed to have been in the delivery room with her while she was in labor, but I was in Los Angeles. I was so excited when I got back that I held up the baby and took pictures and in that happy mood, proclaimed her ‘my baby’.

"I was shocked when I received thousands of calls from all over the world, congratulating me over the birth of my baby. I appreciate all those good wishes, but as I stated earlier, I am not pregnant and even when that happens, I won’t broadcast it to the world."

She later said that said that Jim Iyke has been very supportive to her during her trying times. "Jim and I are still very much together. When my brothers were killed, Jim was in Barbados and we talked every day. He was very supportive and his love helped carry me through that difficult period. I was in Nigeria recently and Jim would be in New York soon, so all the people who don’t wish us well, I have one thing to say: sorry for all your negativity, Jim and I are still together."

Meet the “Poorest President” in the World – Uruguayan President José Mujica

This may be unbelievable but truely the story is real. The world poorest President is Uruguayan President Jose' Mujica. Accoding to news reaching Nollyjist, the President Drives a Volkswagen Beetle car & he donates about 90% of his monthly salary to Charity. 

The president has earned a name to himself what most people would call, "world most poorest president" or the "most generous president" of our time. he is nicknamed as, "el presidente mas pobre" which is translated to be "poorest president".

 

 The President said in a recent interview that the only big item he owns is his Volkswagen Beetle car, valued at $1,945 dollars (about N308,283) . He earns a salary of $12,500 a month (N1,981,250), but only keeps $1,250(N198,125) for himself, donating the rest to charity.

He lives in a farmhouse which is under his wife’s name, Lucía Topolansky, a Senator, who also donates part of her salary.

 The 77 year-old who has been Uruguay’s president since March 1, 2010 told El Mundo, “I do fine with that amount; I have to do fine because there are many Uruguayans who live with much less.”

It was also reported that under his stewardship, Uruguay has become known for low levels of corruption. The South American country ranks as the second least corrupt country in Latin America in Transparency International’s global corruption index.

 Yahoo News reported that the President has no bank accounts, no debts, and he enjoys the companionship of his dog, Manuela. When his term is over, the President hopes to rest even more peacefully in his farmhouse, along with his wife and his inseparable dog.
